It’s July already? Wow, seems like 2010 is flying by and it’s quite a task to keep up. As promised, the website is now transitioning and transforming into. I know I’m a day behind on sending out this update, but my husband worked all day and night to get the brand spankin’ new Animal Facts section and slightly adjusted homepage. Check it out and let us know what you think. Don’t forget to share your favorite endangered animal through Facebook and Twitter – by doing so, you are helping to spread awareness for the plight of each animal. Of course, this is just the beginning of the wave of changes that we will be seeing in the coming months to EcoPatterns and how we present our image and products. So I am super excited to be at the foot of the wave.
For the Fourth of July holiday, we’d like to extend a sweet offer. Buy any two (2) 8.5″x11″ art prints and get a third one for FREE. And we will extend this offer to Friday July 9th. All you have to do is specify which print you’d like to add to your order during checkout. A great way to fill up your wall.

EcoPatterns floats over to the U.K. for a little bit.
Last weekend I had the honor of being selected for a giveaway promotion on a Scottish Blog, Gorjuss Little Things. I would like to extend my gratitude and respect to Suzanne and Grant for featuring a set of EcoPatterns Note Cards that I also have available in my personal etsy shop. I am deeply grateful that my message about endangered animals is extending overseas and I am looking to continue spreading awareness globally. Social media is a huge boost to sharing information.
Speaking of sharing and social media, my hubby added two cool little upgrades to our homepage if you’ve noticed. One is the automatic latest tweet module that will be broadcasting @ecopatterns twitter tweets dynamically. Another sweet addition is tapping into the Facebook Graph API to give us our Like Box Module (formerly “fan page”) to connect all of the folks that really dig our stuff. While my husband understands this stuff better than I, it’s obvious to me that this stuff is important for helping us spread the word.

Our Earth Day Contest had a modest twitter turnout, but it was a turnout nonetheless. Thank you all that support EcoPatterns in our daily fight to raise awareness for endangered animals. We’d like to extend our congratulations to Jason Springer and Shahnaz Mohammed. Thanks again, and don’t forget to follow them on twitter as well as @ecopatterns.

I like breathing clean air. We all do. Now that Earth Day is running 40 years strong as of today, it is showing that recognition is global. Businesses are going green and growing more environmentally motivated. Despite all this, the state of the Earth is still in trouble. We’re losing trees and plantlife at alarming rates as well as losing wildlife to extinction. I started my business a little under 2 years ago to spread awareness and hope and I am pleased with the strides I’ve made. But you know what? We can do better. I am going to up the ante today.
In honor of Earth-Day, EcoPatterns is prepared to give away a free 8.5″ x 11″ art print of your choice to two lucky winners. How do you get one? Easy! Retweet this post and follow @ecopatterns on twitter using our nifty little button below. Later tonight we will choose 2 lucky winners randomly.
